I’m originally from Oklahoma City but primarily grew up in north Texas, where I spent most of my time playing baseball. I spent my college years in Arkadelphia, Arkansas at Ouachita Baptist University where I played baseball and graduated with an Accounting degree.
After graduation, I started my career at EY in the Audit practice. After my first year in audit I got plugged into the oil and gas industry and have primarily been in that space since. While at EY I primarily managed audits for public oil and gas clients.
From there I transitioned to corporate and operational accounting at a Tulsa-based midstream MLP, Blueknight Energy Partners. As Corporate Controller and then Chief Accounting Officer, I implemented new accounting guidance, built teams, identified process improvements, participated in acquisitions and divestitures and oversaw the SEC financial reporting.
While not working, I spend most of my time with my wife and three children. We enjoy sports and anything outdoors, such as biking, hiking, and swimming.
