Before Embark, I started my career in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche, where I spent over 13 years in the energy audit practice. I gained deep oil & gas experience in a variety of technical areas including business combinations & divestitures, SEC filings, revenue recognition, asset impairments, leases, income taxes, debt and equity transactions, and stock-based compensation to name a few. I then took my expertise into industry as an assistant controller for a public royalties company, where I led the implementation of a first year SOX compliance program while overseeing internal and external financial reporting as well as monthly close and operations.

At Embark, I bring that mix of public accounting rigor and real-world industry experience to the clients and teams I work with every day. I love that Embark gives me the opportunity to solve meaningful problems for finance and accounting leaders — the kind of challenges that actually keep CFOs up at night. Outside of work, I like to spend every possible moment with my two daughters — they keep life fun, full, and very busy. When I can steal a few hours for myself, you'll find me in the saddle. Horseback riding has been a passion of mine since I was a child, and there's nothing quite like it for clearing your head and recharging.
