Before Embark, I took what most would call an unconventional path. I started in FP&A - treasury, forecasting, financial modeling - before working my way into accounting joining Deloitte. From there I moved through a series of increasingly complex industry roles: a defense contractor, a public SaaS company, and a pair of PE-backed software roll-ups where I served as controller and VP of Finance. Along the way I picked up a healthy obsession with the intersection of technical accounting, systems, and operational finance - and a deep appreciation for what good consulting looks like from the client side.
At Embark, I'm a Managing Director on the Financial Advisory Services team. I work across a broad range of engagements — technical accounting, controllership, revenue recognition, ERP implementation, FP&A infrastructure, transaction support — often in PE-backed or multi-entity environments where the problems don't fit neatly into one practice line. What I'm most proud of is the client relationships: I've seen small engagements grow into long-term partnerships, and I take that seriously. Having been on the other side of the table, I know what it feels like when a consultant actually gets it - and when they don't.
Outside of work, I'm in Colorado - which means summer weekends in the mountains and winter weekends on the slopes. I live with my wife, our dog Hendrix, and a very quiet house now that our daughter is off at college.
