I was born and raised on the East Coast, having lived up and down I-95 my entire life. If you speak with me long enough, you may get hints of my prior days spent in Virginia, Boston, New York, and Miami. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Management/Leadership from Boston College and completed my Masters Degree from the University of Miami (FL).

After college, I began my career with PwC in their assurance practice based in New York City. During my time in NYC, I audited several publicly traded real estate investment trusts (“REITs”) as well as private real estate funds. In 2015, I relocated with PwC to Miami, Florida (as I needed some more Vitamin D in my life) and joined the Forensic Services consulting team.

My experience included supporting clients on a number of critical issues including fraud investigations, legal disputes, anti-money laundering lookbacks, and FCPA investigations.

In 2018, I joined a regional accounting firm in Florida, Berkowitz Pollack Brant, where I continued working on engagements focused on legal disputes, lost profit calculations, and expert witness testimony. I’ve assisted clients in a variety of industries including the technology, real estate, healthcare, insurance, and financial services sectors.

At Embark, I am known as “Miami Mike” due to my extreme passion for all things about the Magic City. I currently serve as the market office lead here in South Florida. My goal, my mission, and my passion is making Embark Miami the absolute best place for people to grow and develop their careers, while, most importantly, having fun, caring about those you work with, and actually enjoying your life!

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my amazing wife Pilar, our son Nolan, and our two rescue animals, Winky the one-eyed cat and Zuccarello the dog. I am an avid Peloton-er (Username: MiamiMike99), golfer, kayaker, hiker, and beach/boating enthusiast and I’m a diehard New York Rangers and Miami Heat fan. My wife and I are lifetime travel partners and some of our favorite adventures together have been to Indonesia, Dubai, Greece, Alaska, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. Always looking forward to what’s next!
