I was born and raised in Riverton Utah cheering on the Utes, which is where I ended up getting my bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting.
After finishing my masters degree I went to PwC where I worked on private and public companies from several different industries including tech, banking, private equity, and consumer products. I moved over to BDO Salt Lake City where I continued to work on technology and consumer product company audits. When the opportunity to become the Assistant Controller at Owlet came up, I jumped on it. I was part of the small team that took the company public via SPAC. It wasn't the greatest time of my life but as they say in accounting, "it was a great experience." The great experience continued with SOX compliance, public filings, software implementations, and taking on the interim controller role.
Outside of work I love to snowmobile (greatest activity in the world), dirt bike, boat at Lake Powell (greatest summer destination in the world) with my wife and two kids.
