Chief growth officer
I’ve spent the better part of the last two decades in the investment space, predominantly in institutional fixed income and retail equity. The last ~11 years of that run were with Fisher Investments where I worked in client acquisition and helped FI develop their teams domestically and internationally - specifically in Holland, Germany, Sweden and the UK. Those opportunities came largely from a bent towards devoted examination of high performing personal and corporate processes. Taking those models apart, finding what can be adopted, improved, repeated and scaled was and is more fun than chore to me.
Though I just joined the Embark board in late 2020, and moved to a full time roll in 2021, I’ve been around the company since it’s inception. Through a connection with our founder I’ve seen the ride from an idea, to the present state with hundreds of Embarkers first hand and now I’m happy to play a role in our evolution. My focus here is to coordinate the efforts of, and provide vision and leadership for our Growth functions - Business Development and Marketing.
Scholastically, I stayed close to my Memphis, Tennessee roots and took an academic scholarship to The University of Mississippi where I double majored in Banking Finance and Managerial Finance. My best times are times with my wife, Christin and 6 year old daughter, Sunny Brown.
