I was born and raised in a small town in the southernmost state of Brazil. I lived there until I was 14 years old until my family made the move to the United States. I got my double Accounting and Finance Bachelor’s degree and my master’s in accounting both from Florida State University. After graduation I moved to Tampa, FL and began my Audit and Assurance Career at Deloitte.

During my time at Deloitte, I had the opportunity to work primarily at a Fortune 50 public insurance company where I managed multiple investment related areas as well as state and federal quarterly and yearly reporting. I also developed project management skills by leading multiple engagements, both public and private, concurrently across multiple offices and countries.

Additionally, I led internal CPE-trainings for various levels. Through my experience I gained invaluable insights into internal controls, financial reporting, technical accounting, and change management.

What I enjoyed the most was building relationships both within clients and internal teams, problem solving, and creating efficiencies without compromising quality. I joined Embark to continue to positively impact businesses through the personal and accounting skills I gained in my previous experiences.

Outside of work I enjoy staying active, traveling to both old and new destinations, hanging out at rooftops, and playing fetch with my corgi Luna.
