Jason Patrick, CPA*
Senior director
I was born in Los Angeles and made my way to Colorado when I was 12. I graduated from the University of Colorado - Boulder with a bachelors in finance and masters in accounting. Sko Buffs!
I spent the first 8 years of my career in Deloitte’s audit practice serving both public and private companies. I was exposed to a variety of industries in my time in public accounting, including insurance, media/advertising, casinos/gaming, private equity, financial services, manufacturing, and retail. After my time at Deloitte, I spent 3 years as an independent finance and accounting consultant. The bulk of my time was spent at a Fortune 100 construction and engineering company filling a variety of roles arising from a $6 billion acquisition. My time as an independent consultant came to a close when a local tax firm offered me a position as a tax director. After operating the firm for 4 years, I decided that the tax life was not for me. And once I learned of Embark’s vision and culture, decided it was the perfect place for me to continue my career in accounting and finance.
When I’m not at work you can find me rock climbing in Clear Creek Canyon or playing with my two rescue pups, Daisy and Marley. I also have a passion for teaching so in addition to my consulting work at Embark, I teach an accounting class at the University of Denver.
