I was born and raised in Illinois. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Iowa and graduated with my BBA and Masters of Accounting. I started my career at Deloitte in the Des Moines office.

While at Deloitte, I worked on many clients – ranging from casinos to manufacturing. After two years at Deloitte and many learning opportunities, I moved to Denver and started working at Kroenke Sports & Entertainment as a Sports Accounting Accountant.

Over my 8 years at Kroenke, I worked my way up to Controller for the Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Mammoth. I was responsible for league reporting and up to 10 external audits per year, along with month-end close and budgeting (and many other day-to-day things!).

During 2020, I decided to pursue my MBA full time at the University of Denver concentrating in Finance and Business Analytics. I had many great opportunities while at DU and worked on some exciting consulting projects. I heard about Embark as I was wrapping up my MBA and knew this was a place I wanted to be. I love problem solving and making lives easier, especially when it comes to accounting!

Outside of work, I spend my time with my husband and our 3 dogs and 1 cat. I enjoy spending time outside – hiking, gardening, or reading a good book in the sunshine.
