I am originally from Athens, Ohio and graduated from Ohio University before moving to Denver, Colorado to start my career in audit at Deloitte.
While in Denver, I took advantage of all the state has to offer - I learned to ski, went on camping trips and even conquered numerous 14er hikes. At Deloitte, I served on the audit teams for a variety of different clients, focusing my last few years in audit on a very large broker-dealer/bank and private-equity clients.
After about six and a half years, I became a Product Owner on a team at Deloitte responsible for working with their software development team to create new audit software in Tampa, Florida. The experience was a welcome change, a fun way to use my audit experience creatively and a great crash course into the world of agile project management.
I had so much fun in Florida I decided to make it my permanent home in June of 2020! After a couple years in software development, I got the itch to go back into a more traditional Accounting role and found Embark...a place where I can put my CPA to good use, challenge myself and provide creative solutions for our clients!
In Tampa, I love to kayak and play beach volleyball. I also enjoy yoga, a good Peloton ride, and a day lounging at the beach.
