While I may not have been born in Texas, I got here as fast as I could. I completed my BBA in Accounting at Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!) before moving to Houston. Once there, I obtained my Master's in Accounting from the University of Houston and went to work for Deloitte in their audit practice.

During my time at Deloitte, I was really able to advance my technical accounting and problem-solving skills. While I enjoyed developing these skills, I quickly learned that my favorite aspect of the job was being able to help clients and team members achieve their goals.

In keeping with my desire to help others, I joined the amazing team at Texas Children's Hospital in their Finance Department. I loved being able to use my skills to contribute to their mission of helping women and children around the world. However, I missed the client interaction that came with public accounting, which led me to Embark!

When I'm not at work, I love cooking and learning more about nutrition and how different types of food can impact our long term health. That being said I also love pizza! In my continual pursuit of food, I love to travel and experience different types of cuisines and adventures. If I'm not traveling, I love being at home with my family and my rambunctious golden retriever Stella.
