I was born in California but grew up in a few different states. So while I enjoyed getting to see different parts of the US growing up, during college I decided to make Texas my home. I attended Texas State University in San Marcos and fell in love with the area and river. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting while at Texas State. After college, I started my accounting career at EY San Antonio working in their Financial Services Assurance Practice. During my time at EY, I have had the opportunity to audit insurance clients with a specific emphasis in accounting related to investment portfolios and employee benefit plans. In addition, I also gained experience in internal controls, documentation of key processes, and financial reporting.

Early on in my career and even in college, I realized one of the things I wanted to be able to do was help people. In college, I was an accounting tutor and it was so gratifying to be able to work with a student and reach that light-bulb moment where a topic now made sense. In my career, I also want to work collaboratively to reach that light-bulb moment. Now I’m ready to problem solve and collaborate in line with Embark and its clients.

When offline, I’m either a homebody enjoying binge-watching shows, reading, or out and about exploring the city, dancing, going to yoga. Can’t wait to try more tasty food in the area and get to know Austin better!
