I’m a life-long Dallasite and Texan at heart. I graduated from SMU with a BBA in Accounting and began my career in public accounting with EY’s Assurance practice. During my time there, I was primarily staffed on manufacturing and real estate clients where I had exposure to inventory accounting, internal controls, and a multitude of REIT investment vehicles. There is where I also discovered an affinity towards learning new concepts and creative problem-solving. Wanting to provide more direct assistance to the client and have more availability for what matters most facilitated my transition into Internal Audit at ORIX USA, a private equity/asset management firm, and now at Embark!

If I’m not crunching numbers, I’m spending time with my son Liam and our dog Hachi. I also enjoy anything fitness related, love the outdoors (hiking/camping/kayaking), and catching up on the latest psychological thrillers.
